Single Review: Trailer Choir “Better With a Beer”

They’re back! The newly signed Average Joes Entertainment duo Trailer Choir, whom entertained crowds back in 2011 with favorites such as “Rockin’ the Beer Gut” and “Off the Hillbilly Hook”, have returned with another jaunty single, “Better With a Beer”.

With the song appearing on the much anticipated “Mud Digger: Volume 6” compilation, which includes tracks by other AJE artists such as Bubba Sparxx, JJ Lawhorn and founder Colt Ford, this is the first label released song by the duo in nearly three years.

Sure you can tell that the lyrics give a relatable yet comical approach to the song, naming off different activities from viewing Nascar, fishing, roadtripping, and even hanging out with the in-laws, Trailer hoir makes the point that “life goes down a little better with a beer”.

The shining aspect is the duo’s vocals. Sans the phenomenal vocals of former member Crystal Hoyt, Butter and Bigg Vinny have strengthened their voices and harmonies, filling a vocal void that may have otherwise been present – Butter entertains on the lead while Vinny provides the deep and smooth harmony.

It’s a pretty high intense song with a bit of twang, perfect for getting amped for a night out or dancing across the kitchen. A full-length Trailer Choir is anticipated by late summer 2015.

Rating: Listen for it on radio.
