Tennessee born and bred Russell Dickerson has gained respect in country music rather quickly by being the first artist to release four consecutive singles that reached #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay and only the second solo artist (fourth overall along with Luke Combs) to have four or more reach #1 on Country Airplay. Now with five Platinum singles under his belt, Dickerson has released his third studio album – Russell Dickerson featuring 15 tracks of ballads, country crooning, and reminiscent tunes detailing life long ago.

Blame It On Being Young” is a tenderhearted ballad reminiscing younger days and how one wishes to relive.  The tune is easy listening with a sense of sweetness of the past.  This as well as nostalgic numbers “Beers To Summer” and “All The Same Friends” all cater to a time gone by when youth was free and easy.

She Likes It” is slow sexy tune with a sweet R&B groove featuring Jake Scott that lets romance fly and leaves a lot to the imagination. The album’s lead single earned Dickerson his fifth Platinum single last month.

But this album isn’t just romance and nostalgia as it features more of the fun side of Dickerson that fans have become familiar with. Take “I still believe,” an anthemic tune with lots of electric guitar and free flowing production creating the picture of what one finds the best in life. “Big Wheels” also provides listeners with a true country rock sound, taking the listener to a farm field party with big trucks, cold beer, and friends.

Within the songs of nostalgia, romance, and fun times, are two songs that standout in experiences of love.  “I Wonder” is the latest to delve into the wonderment of what could’ve been while “God Gave Me A Girl” is a tender hearted romantic tune  – with a crazy good beat! – about when one finds his true love it’s as if she’s a gift from god!

In support of the album, Russell Dickerson headed to the UK for his Fall tour followed by a headlining tour in the US starting November 14.
