Country music’s well-known powerful use of three chords and the truth is alive and well with Scooter Brown Band as showcased in their new single “Country At All,” available today.

And when they say “truth,” Scooter Brown takes that word very seriously.

With classic melancholy steel guitar and honest lyrics written by the band’s front man Scooter Brown and BBR/BMG artist Tim Montana, “Country At All” doesn’t mince words when it comes questioning what is actually being played on the radio, and where has true country music gone:

I found the city where my heroes once roamed
I guess all the cowboys eased on back home
I’m proud to be baptized on three chords and the truth
But all I hear lately is one chord and a loop

Trends in music, and society in general, can work on one’s self, questioning their own place in this world, something Scooter Brown Band implies in the song’s chorus (although there is no doubt that the guys know that they are real country):

Who the hell put this music on my radio?
Where’d all the outlaws and good ol’ boys go?
If this is what country sounds like to you all,
I guess I ain’t country at all

“Country At All” is available today for download/streaming here.
