NASHVILLE, TN – Newly crowned ACM Awards New Male Artist of the Year RILEY GREEN is gearing up for his performance on the CBS broadcast this Wednesday 9/16 at 8/7c as he comes off the release of his latest EP IF IT WASN’T FOR TRUCKS. Listen to full EP here: https://RileyGreen.lnk.to/IIWFTEP.

Green’s roots have always been at the forefront of his songwriting, celebrating his small-town upbringing and simplistic lifestyle and with this new EP he further cements his place in the genre as the Southern chart-topper delves into the next chapter of his story. Early reviews are praising IF IT WASN’T FOR TRUCKS:

“Riley Green’s Storytelling Talents Shine Bright on ‘If It Wasn’t for Trucks’ EP” – American Songwriter

The entire EP sounds like it came right out of the late 1990s,
including the title track “If It Wasn’t for Trucks.” – CMT

He embraces familiar country tropes of trucks, boots, mama and God, but brings his own homespun perspective on such tunes as “Better Than Me” (which features Alabama’s Randy Owen) and the nostalgic “Behind The Times.” The influence of his hometown of Jacksonville, Ala. plays a prominent role in his accessible,
winning songs.” – Billboard

“Like “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” this song [“Better Than Me”]  — and another called “Behind the Times” — bring something vintage to a modern country audience.” – Taste of Country

Full of personal storytelling, traditional country vibes, and heart, IF IT WASN’T FOR TRUCKS is another peek into Green’s talent, authenticity, and soul”…”All co-written by Green himself, each of the five songs are all sprinkled with a hint of charm and a whole lot of nostalgia.” – NY Country Swag

Green also took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday (9/12) where he performed and was surprised, along with ACM Awards New Female Artist of the Year Tenille Townes, with his 55th ACM Awards trophy as New Male Artist of the Year.  After Opry member Mark Wills presented Green with his trophy, he shared “It’s such an honor. I really never even dreamed of something like this happening. A lot of people helped to get me where I am today. My entire team in Nashville, all my family and friends back home for all their support, the fans, country radio, and most importantly the two men that inspired this last song I’m going to play, Buford Green and Lendon Bonds, ‘I Wish Grandpas Never Died’.” A full stream of the Opry show can be found HERE.

Green’s recent achievement follows a nod from iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New Country Artist, receiving MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year and being selected for the prestigious CRS 2020 New Faces Class. His GOLD-certified hit “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” adds to his GOLD-certified No. 1 “There Was This Girl.”

After spending 2019 on the road with Brad Paisley and Jon Pardi while also headlining his own GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR, Green kicked off 2020 on Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR. While touring is on pause, he is staying connected with his fans through his bi-weekly YouTube Golden Saw Series , presented by Busch, which can be found here: https://RileyGreen.lnk.to/GoldenSawSeriesPR. Visit RileyGreenMusic.com for more updates.
