Outlaw Country Artist James Carothers Releases New Album ‘Still Country, Still King: A Tribute To George Jones’

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  Traditional country artist James Carothers has released his new album Still Country, Still King: A Tribute To George Jones. Earlier this week, James had several “about the song” videos exclusively premiered by Raised RowdyRoughstockNashville Access and Country Music Tattle Tale ahead of the album’s release. The album is available for download and streaming here.

“We decided to do a George Jones tribute album because we’ve been playing at the George Jones museum for about three and a half years now,” said Carothers. “In the process of all that, we met some tremendous fans, and the biggest fan was Ed Smith and he said, ‘Boys, I want y’all to make a George Jones tribute record.’ We just tried to do our best and pick out ones that people like and ones we like ourselves. Just a great time together and great music.”

Before the album’s release, James released three singles: “Sinners and Saints,” “Someday My Day Will Come,” and “Treat Your Man A Little Bit Better.” Keep up with James on FacebookTwitterInstagram and YouTube, and on his website at www.jamescarothers.com.
