Take a break from the coronavirus craziness to sit back, relax and enjoy four days (and nights) of music from your favorite hit songwriters!

Songwriters In Paradise, a uniquely crafted singer-songwriter festival, is taking its SIP event virtual for the first time with the SIP SIP: Songwriters in Paradise Shelter in Place, a live streaming songwriters festival. Created to provide a welcomed distraction from all the uncertainty around COVID-19, the festival kicks off on StageIt.com tonight, April 2nd at 7pm CST and continues tomorrow, Friday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 5th.

“They say music heals and I know that during this pandemic, I personally have found myself retreating into my music and songwriting,” said Patrick Davis, SIP founder and frontman of Patrick Davis and His Midnight Choir. “My hope is that through SIP SIP, we can offer a bit of an escape to anyone who decides to tune in and watch the incredible SIP songwriters perform. But more importantly, the goal is to make us all feel a little more connected and help us remember that we are all in this together.”

The festival is set to feature more than 30 hit songwriters including Kristian Bush (of Sugarland), Edwin McCain, James Otto, Mark Bryan (of Hootie & the Blowfish), Chris Barron (of The Spin Doctors) and many more. What’s more, songwriters performing have sold more than 50 million albums and written hits from Zac Brown Band, Sugarland, Hootie & the Blowfish, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Jimmy Buffett, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Luke Combs, Chris Young and Jewel, to name a few.

Tickets for SIP SIP: Songwriters in Paradise Shelter in Place can be purchased at StageIt.com. Proceeds benefit charities helping in the fight to keep our doctors, nurses and other health care professionals safe during this COVID-19 pandemic (Direct Relief, The CDC Foundation & Americares) as well as each of the SIP SIP performers.

What makes SIP SIP so special is that while many music events have been canceled, Songwriters In Paradise has found a way to keep its SIP festival going strong. Not only has Songwriters In Paradise moved virtual, but it has also rescheduled its SIP NAPA event, which was set to take place at Silver Oak, Brasswood, Alpha Omega and Frank Family Vineyards in Napa, California this week, to August 27-30, 2020. Tickets for SIP NAPA are available on songwritersinparadise.com.

“This week was supposed to be our 2nd Annual Songwriters In Paradise Napa (SIP NAPA), but with COVID-19, we, of course, had to reschedule our dates,” adds Davis. “I just thought why not try to do something this week that still brings the whole SIP Family together and that’s when SIP SIP was born.”
