Jake Hoot Releases Charitable Song, “Tennessee Strong” Following Deadly Tornadoes

CMT.com World Premieres Accompanying Music Video

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Following the deadly tornadoes that tore through Middle Tennessee during the early hours of March 3rd, 2020, Jake Hoot took a pen to paper to express his emotions. Hoot’s first release since he was crowned champion of Season 17 of NBC’s The Voice, “Tennessee Strong” is an anthem for the selfless actions shown by Tennesseans following the disaster. The Cookeville, Tenn. resident gathered a group of musicians, producers and engineers who volunteered their time to bring “Tennessee Strong” to life in hopes of helping more people still in need and raising awareness. Co-written by Hoot, Jimmy Fortune and Charles Pevahouse Jr. and produced Billy Isaacs and Pevahouse Jr., for the next 90 days, all proceeds from the downloads and streams of “Tennessee Strong” will benefit the Official Middle Tennessee Emergency Relief Fund. Click HERE to find “Tennessee Strong” on your preferred platform.

CMT.com world premiered the accompanying music video for the song which features footage taken from Hoot’s hometown of Cookeville, Tenn., following the tornado damage.

“I just remember seeing all these post about #CookevilleStrong, #NashvilleStrong, #LebanonStrong, and thought, “Why aren’t we united in this?,” Hoot told CMT.com in an exclusive interview. “I also remember being so devastated at the pictures and posts from so many that had lost so much, but was blown away at the response of so many others who came together to take care of one another,” Hoot told CMT.com. “The hours and hours people stood in line to give blood, the thousands and thousands of volunteers who showed up to help clean through the rubble, and the first responders who worked for days and days to try and help every single person that they could. I was just speechless.”

The emerging singer/songwriter is also set to release his first single entitled “Love Is A Dangerous Thing” on May 1st. All of Hoot’s upcoming shows during the month of April 2020 have been postponed due to Covid-19. Please stay tuned for new dates and visit www.jakehoot.com for the most up-to-date information.
