Taste of Country Exclusively Premieres The Video

Hoge Continues Livestreaming Success,
Makes 8th Appearance in Top Twelve of Pollstar’s All-Genre Chart

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – Billboard No. 1 charting artist and passionate outdoorsman, Lucas Hoge, takes viewers to “far-flung locales all over the world” (Taste of Country / Sterling Whitaker) in his new video “Wishin’ I Was Fishin.'” The video features the “Hoge Wild” host fishing throughout the globe with filming locations spanning from New Zealand, Montana, Mexico, California and Tennessee. The single is the latest release from Hoge and packs a special sentiment for the singer, who co-wrote the song with Phillip Lammonds, as a tribute to his father and their shared affinity for mother nature.

Taste of Country Exclusively premiered the video. Hoge shared with the outlet, “My dad and my uncle are the reason I love the outdoors as much as I do today. Opening morning of pheasant season each year was a Hoge boy family tradition that I will cherish forever.”

Hoge’s reverence for those invaluable memories are palpable with his lyrics:

Yeah I’m wishin’ I could just ride that memory back
Feet danglin’ off the tailgate across the pasture through the grass Yeah I’m wishin’ for a sunny summer Sunday
That would never get too late
And Dad would never say
We got one last cast
Yeah I’m wishin’ I was fishin’

Clips of the video were shot during filming of the Nebraska native’s series “Hoge Wild,” now airing on Sportsman Channel. The weekly series airs Monday nights at 6pm CST. “Hoge Wild” takes viewers across the globe with the country singer as he travels to New Zealand, Bolivia, Africa and more. With a guitar in one hand and a bow in the other, Hoge is going wild in the great outdoors camping, fishing, hunting, exploring, diving and singing. As an avid outdoorsman, Hoge aims to change the narrative around conservation and hunting with his new series.

In addition to his new video and television series, Hoge has been at the apex of live-streaming and has spent 8 out of the past 12 weeks in the top 12 of Pollstar’s Weekly Livestream Chart. The all-genre chart tracks views on artists’ livestreams. Hoge’s massive audience numbers for his weekly Sunday Sessions chart him alongside acts like BTS, Snoop Dogg, H.E.R and Luke Combs. Fans can live stream Sunday Sessions at 8am CST on Hoge’s Facebook Page this Sunday. Hoge will also participate in Bandsintown’s Outskirts Livestream Monday, August 17 at 2pm CST, to stream click HERE.
