‘Dammit’ Is Kramer’s Second Independent Release and Follow Up
To ‘I’ve Done Love,’ the Highest-Charting and Best First Week Sales Song Of Her Career

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Breakout Country singer Jana Kramer released her highly-anticipated new single “Dammit” (Sophie Dog Records) Friday (4/6). “Dammit” is a stirring ballad about the injustice of lost love and what could’ve been. The song is Kramer’s second independent release, available on iTunes (HERE) and across all digital retailers today. “Dammit” follows previously released “I’ve Done Love,” the highest-charting and best first week sales song of her career.

“‘Dammit’ is authentic to me, it’s about acknowledging and surrendering to the idea that love doesn’t always work out. I feel like we’ve all been there and experienced relationships that didn’t last,” said Kramer.

“Dammit” was co-written by friend and songwriter Nicolle Galyon and Elizabeth Huett. The desolate ballad has Kramer lamenting the frustration of a relationship that might have worked out but eventually didn’t. In the end, there’s no animosity but only the anguish of lost love compounded by the indifference of a significant other.

“Dammit” follows Kramer’s first independent release “I’ve Done Love,” which hit #2 on iTunes Country Songs chart and #13 on iTunes All Genre chart. “I’ve Done Love” tallied Kramer’s highest first week sales of her career and immediately resonated with fans and critics alike. CMTThe Boot, and Sounds Like Nashville highlighted the ballad and Kramer opened up to Billboard about the rollercoaster of  love and the craft behind her new music (HERE).

“Dammit” and “I’ve Done Love” are the first taste of new music from Kramer since the release of her sophomore album Thirty One (Warner) in 2015. Thirty One landed at #3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and debuted in the Top 10 on the all-genre Billboard 200 Albums chart. Thirty One featured Kramer’s Platinum-selling hit “I Got The Boy,” a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The ACM’s 2013 New Female Artist Of The Year’s self-titled album impressively debuted at #5 on theBillboard Country Albums chart. Jana Kramer featured smash single “Why Ya Wanna,” her breakthrough Top 5 Billboard Hot Country song and solidified her as the most played new artist for that year.
