In what’s sure to be a theme song for the summer, Jason Byrd‘s new single brings 90’s country fun and flare with a catchy beat that you can’t help but groove to and today he’s premiering the official lyric video exclusively with The Country Note.
“When I first heard “Gulf Coastin’” while doing a writer’s round with Lauren Spring, I immediately loved it,” says Byrd. “After we finished our show that night, I put it on hold and recorded it two weeks later. I’m really proud of how it turned out and I hope everyone likes it as much as I do.”

Sparked by an encounter with the late George Jones, Byrd has pursued his country music dream over the past three decades. Unknowingly to the world, he and Jones recorded the track “Better Life” and in 2021, Byrd made the decision for all country fans to hear it when he released it as a single. In 2019, Byrd retired from one dream job as Battalion Chief of the Tallahassee Fire Department to go full speed ahead with his country music career.
