WRAPPING UP FGL TOUR THIS WEEKEND

NASHVILLE, TENN. — Round Here Records’ PLATINUM hitmaker CANAAN SMITH offers a humble “thank you” to the man upstairs in his new track “Life Ain’t Fair,” forever capturing the sweet sound of being saved by love.

Opening his soul for a track filled with classic-country heart, the tender anthem finds Smith dropping to his knees to count his blessings – starting with one he knows he doesn’t deserve. It was written by the proven star with Tree Vibez Music writer-producer Corey Crowder and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, and today is brought to life by a newsworthy visualizer video – adding a new layer of meaning to the chorus hook “A guy like me, a girl like you? / I thank God life ain’t fair.”

Making today even sweeter, Smith and his wife have just revealed they are expecting the birth of their first child next month. The overjoyed couple made the official announcement with People.com – read all of the exclusive details here.

“We love surprises and we are waiting to find out [the sex] in the delivery room,” Smith tells PEOPLE, saying that they’re “constantly adding and erasing names” from their list. “We both love unique names, so it’s been a blast to do this together,” he says.

All this exciting news comes on the heels of Smith’s return to the Country scene with a double shot of new music. As the first artist signed to Round Here Records – the creativity-focused brainchild of Florida Georgia Line superstars Hubbard and Brian Kelley – Smith released the hopped-up and chilled-to-the-max “Beer Drinkin’ Weather” and unapologetic chest-thumper “Country Boy Things” earlier this summer.

He’s set to keep the good times going on the final shows of FGL’s massive CAN’T SAY I AIN’T COUNTRY TOUR this weekend, with stops in Mountain View (9/27) and Irvine (9/28), California, alongside Dan + Shay, Morgan Wallen and Dylan Schneider.
