Canadian-born, Nashville-based songwriter Tebey has released a new single and video “The Good Ones.” Featuring Canadian pop sensation Marie Mai, the new single is a testament to the strength of Tebey’s masterful songwriting ability. The video is available to stream now via Taste of Country who writes, “Tebey co-produced the track alongside Danick Duepelle blending contemporary country and lush pop elements for a progressive sound. The black-and-white video helps to create a sense of romantic longing for something that can never be again.” “The Good Ones” is available to download here.

“The original demo version of ‘The Good Ones’ wasn’t a duet,” writes Tebey. “But the more I lived with the song, the more it started to feel like it could be. Marie Mai was our first choice for a duet partner. She’s a massive French Canadian pop star, and we share a mutual friend. We sent her the song and she loved it instantly and agreed to sing on it with me. I think it’s extra special when two artists from two different genres can come together to create something like this.”

Marie Mai lends her impressive vocal talents to the track and writes “When Tebey sent me ‘The Good Ones’ I knew I had to be part of it. It was that simple. I love trying different genres and breaking out of the boxes we so often get put in. Country always held a special place in my heart and I knew I would eventually venture into it. It was just a matter of having the right song and Tebey really delivered the ‘good one.'” Marie Mai has released four platinum-selling albums, as well as a certified gold record with her most recent full-length release, M.

Tebey has earned seven #1 hits to date, three in the past two years – a #1 Billboard US single with Justin Moore’s “Somebody Else Will,” a #1 in Canada with Gord Bamford’s “Dive Bar,” and his first #1 single as an artist and writer with his song “Who’s Gonna Love You.” He’s written songs for One Direction, Cher, Big & Rich, Fifth Harmony, and FLO RIDA, and recently toured with Tim Hicks in Canada. Tebey’s tracks have received over 14.5M streams, and he has been nominated for four Canadian Country Music Awards.

Tebey is an advocate for mental health programs and hosts an annual golf tournament, the Tebey Golf Classic, which to date has raised $55k in support of mental health services in his hometown of Peterborough.
