We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Country Rocker, Songwriter and Marine Veteran Adam Warner who released the Official Music Video for his single “The Farmer” today.  Warner co-wrote the song with Josh Gallagher, Taylor Goyette, John Caldwell, and Mark Addison Chandler.  The video, produced by Karl Weidmann (Southern Cabin Films), premiered yesterday on RFD-TV along with an interview with Adam.

The music video was filmed on three large farms to include Acres of Grace Farm in Red Boiling Springs TN and the other two near Adam’s hometown of Lawrenceville IL – Thompson Farm and Ivers Farm.

The single pays homage to the American farming community of blue collar workers that make the world go around. Warner is a 5th generation farming family in Illinois and believes the message in the lyrics and the video will really resonate with country music fans.

We enjoyed getting to know Adam a little more and hope you do too. Take a look…

CN: Your new single “The Farmer” pays homage to the Blue Collar American Farmer. Can you tell us why you felt this was an important message?

AW:  Both sides of my family are farmers, so I grew up farming.  I wanted to write a song that not only gave a ‘shout out’ to the people who make the world go round but also a song that would fire them up to get them ready for the day.   100% of us eat and only 2% grow it and I wanted to bring awareness to that statistic.  Farmers are truly some of the most important people in the world.

CN: You grew up on a farm. What did that experience teach you?

AW:   Mostly responsibility and a hard work ethic.  But now, looking back on it, those times were amazing moments that I got to spend with my Grandad and my father.  I’ll never get that time back with my Grandparents, but I do try to get home as often as I can to visit my parents.

CN: Who were some of your influences growing up – whether its songwriting or an artist/performer?

AW:  There is such a wide variety that influenced me.  On the country side, I’d say Charlie Daniels, Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, and Tim McGraw.  But I also like Metallica, Nirvana, Alice and Chains and Lynyrd Skynyrd.  In reality, I always felt like if it was great music I wanted to listen to it.

CN:  If you could collaborate with one of your idols, who would that be and what would you do?

AW:  Well, I actually had the honor to do a song with one of my hero’s, Trace Adkins, with the single “Semper Fi.”  That was such a great experience.  If it could be anyone I’d say Elvis Presely!  If it was someone current at the moment, I’d say Post Malone.

CN: What’s something your fans don’t know about you? Any hidden talents?

AW:  When I am not on stage, I am actually somewhat of an introvert.   And, I’m not sure if this is a hidden talent, but I like getting tattoos.

CN: What are you most looking forward to during the remainder of 2023? New music, tour, family, etc?

AW:  The number one thing is the birth of my first child in October.  My wife and I are beyond thrilled and excited to become parents and our parents are ready to become grandparents!  There’s not much that will top that, but I am also excited to release new music this fall as well.  I’ve got some really great music coming at ya!
