Country Music superstar Shania Twain is back and she’s brought a new album with her, but this time around she’s assumed the role of songwriter. NOW, Twain’s first album since 2002, includes 12 tracks co-written by the Queen of Country Pop, and she’s made us fall in love with her all over again with her latest single “We Got Something They Don’t”.
When it seems those around you are not on your side, “We Got Something They Don’t” proves otherwise; that those on the outside don’t know what we have, what drives us, and keeps us going. The non-believers don’t see the fire that burns deep inside us, the fire that won’t let us give up and keeps us going. Relationships are often doubted by those around them, but those people don’t know the real you or me – a simple, beautiful message.
“We Got Something They Don’t” starts out with a classic, up-tempo clap along beat, and the moment Twain starts singing all the nostalgic memories come rushing back. The voice fans loved all those years ago has returned and hasn’t skipped a beat. Twain’s sound is smooth and lyrics match the cadence of song. The addition of brass instruments gives an enjoyable element to the song, making it airy.
