Review: Lady Antebellum Break Hiatus with Dynamic Single, “You Look Good”

The most incredible event of the first month in 2017 has arrived – Lady Antebellum have returned with new music.

The Grammy Award winning trio released their new single, “You Look Good,”  last week, ending a brief hiatus as members Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood worked on personal projects over the last year. And although those independent projects were phenomenal in their individuality,  fans could not be more enthusiastic that the trio has reunited and have a new album, Heart Break, slated for a July 2017 release.

Starting with a brass horn intro and continuing with a fun, funky beat, the cadence is lively and contemporary, giving the new single a jubilant vibe.  Hillary, Charles, and Dave’s energizing verses give the song a restoring sound, while the precision in their vocals (joined with their impeccable harmonization) brings warmth and character. The lyrics are confident, dynamic, and gratifying which gives “You Look Good” a passionate feeling – it’s invigorating to hear a song that has statements for both genders looking good:

Hold up
Whole room gets to spinnin’ from the second that you walk in
And baby you look good all day, all night
You look good, so fresh, so fine

Beach or bar, dressed up or dressed down – when you walk into a room, you look good! If the first single off of Heart Break is any indication of the upcoming album, listeners are in for a pleasant surprise. Catch Lady Antebellum on their upcoming ‘You Look Good World Tour’ and buy “You Look Good” where all digital media is sold.
