Kristian Bush Releases First-Ever Christmas Single “Thinking About Drinking for Christmas”

Christmas:  A day full of love and cheer that brings family members from near and far together to feast over delicious food and exchange wonderful gifts.  All should go well unless you’re lucky enough to have some of THOSE family members – you know the kind where sometimes you just need a little help to get through the day with your sanity intact. If you do, Kristian Bush has just the holiday tune for you with  “I’m Thinking About Drinking for Christmas,” his first-ever Christmas single.

Written by Bush, acclaimed songwriter Brett James and country crooner Chris Young, “Thinking About Drinking for Christmas” is about the sometime craziness that comes with family during the holiday, as is clearly illustrated within the first three lines:

Christmas is a very special time of year
Any minute now all my relatives will be here
Please God don’t let me run out of beer

There’s a cousin who brings the peppermint moonshine that’s sure to result in a migraine, and chatty Aunt Alice that will drive you to drink it. And the “long standing family tradition” of a “not so Silent Night” of getting “lit up like the lights we hung up in the kitchen.” Makes you wonder if Bush knows the Griswalds.

“Thinking About Drinking for Christmas” is available now on all outlets to add to your holiday playlist!
