Josh Turner Returns with Melodic New Single “Hometown Girl”

The rich and smooth bass of Josh Tuner is a staple at country radio, with his chart-toppers such as “Your Man” and “Time Is Love” still penetrating the radio airwaves on various rotations. And although his entire released collection is stellar, it is incredibly refreshing to hear that after a brief hiatus, new material has emerged in the form of “Hometown Girl.”

Simple and straight-forward, “Hometown Girl” is an appealing concept with an even more appealing sound. However Turner’s deep vocals, combined with his incredibly humble disposition, add an authentic quality that brings substance to the song – although happily married himself, one can feel the genuinely simple desire resonating within the lyrics:

Her mama’s mama was born right here
And her roots run deeper than that old town square
She’s a good girl
But she’s not uptight
She can rise and shine and she can hang all night

Written by Marc Beeson and Daniel Tashian, “Hometown Girl” is the lead-off single from Turner’s upcoming sixth studio album. Going for radio adds on May 31, the intoxicating tune can currently be purchased on iTunes.
