Drake White Uplifts, Shows Promise in New Single “Livin’ the Dream”

Republic Records recording artist Drake White has released a new single “Livin’ the Dream”.  This promising love song will have you pondering if you are living the dream with your loved one. This isn’t your typical mushy love song, but one that proves you can make the dream what you want it to be. In a world that sometimes seems to work against you, hopeful dreamers will appreciate the glass half full approach.

Look at us with the picket fence
Don’t got a lot of money
But we’re making a dent

Writers Tom Douglas, Jaren Johnson, and Luke Laird take us down a road of pointing out how we are encompassed by life’s little details – your dream picture might contrast what others think, but everyone can agree love will pull you through it. These lovers point out things might stack up against you, but that is no reason to give up – “‘Livin’ The Dream’ is a reminder of how blessed we all are even though, especially times like now, it may feel like our world is falling apart, and so, if we can help remind folks to celebrate the little moments, celebrate life, love and music, then it really does feel like we’re at least attempting to live up to our objectives musically,” shares White. “In the past, music has not only been my vehicle for escape but also for unification, and with this subtle reminder, we’re hoping to give audiences reprieve if even for three minutes and 11 seconds.”

Well they said we wouldn’t make it baby
Love don’t live around here much lately
What do you think about that?

Having performed over 100 shows in 2015 inclusive of tour stops with Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band, when not on the road White has been diligently working on his forthcoming album for Dot Records Nashville, expected for release in 2016.
