Cam Keeps the Momentum Going with New Single, “Mayday”

Arista Nashville artist and rising female country star Cam has released her second single from her debut album, “Mayday”. Coming off recent success from “Burning House”, Cam is expeditiously making a name for herself not only in country music, but also in the music industry, fortunate enough to have “Burning House” nominated for a Grammy in 2016.

“Mayday” reveals the narrative of walking away, yet being drawn back because of despair. It’s a heart breaking clash in-between a couple, which comprehends that the relationship has run its course.  Those who have been in these shoes know the battle of no longer being in love, yet pushing for a resolution.

But I can’t convince you
We’ve been hopelessly holding too tight
When we don’t even need to
And as the water fills this sinking ship

I know we have to leave too

Co-Writers Cam and Tyler Johnson laid it all out on the table with “Mayday”.  Spotlighting that one shouldn’t fear being alone, when being together means your voice isn’t even heard.

You’ve gotta let me leave
I’m laying here, inches away
But you can’t hear me call mayday

Cam is capturing recognition both as a singer and songwriter by being the most-nominated female artist at this year’s ACM Awards. Tune in Sunday, April 3rd to see if Cam takes home an ACM Award. “Mayday” is available wherever digital music is sold.
