Five Reasons Why We Love Easton Corbin

Seven years ago Easton Corbin broke onto the country music scene with a bang.  His first two singles (“A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It”) went to #1 and he won three New/Breakthrough Artist awards (Artist, Single and Video) at the 2010 ACMs, but anyone who follows him knows he’s more than an accomplished artist. With a heart of gold, a love of food and a great sense of humor, we’re ‘all over the road’ for this week’s #MCM!

1. He’s a Proud Floridian: It’s no secret that country artists are proud of where they come from, and Corbin is no different. He grew up on his grandparent’s farm in Trenton, Florida, is a graduate of the University of Florida and a loyal Gator fan (He’s also a big fan of Animal Planet’s “Gator Boys”).

Always proud to rep the orange and blue! Thanks for the gear, #CollegeColors. #GoGators

When the terrorist attack on Pulse Nightclub in Orlando happened earlier this year, local country radio station K92.3 organized “Country Strong,” a benefit concert for the OneOrlandoFund that raised thousands of dollars for the victims and their families. Corbin was honored to be a part of the event, helping his fellow Floridians heal from this horrible tragedy.

Proud to be a Floridian. Thank you @k923orlando for letting me be a part of this night. #OrlandoStrong

2. He’s Adorable: Corbin’s boyish good looks and smiling eyes can make any girl swoon, but add sweet songs like “Lovin’ You Is Fun” and the hilarious video for “All Over The Road,” it’s hard to not love this guy!

3. Easton Eats:
It’s always fun when musicians show a side of themselves that fans may not get to see publicly, such as sharing their hobbies or passions other than music. Corbin, who loves trying new foods on the road, created a series called “Easton Eats” on his YouTube channel to document his findings. Started in August, the series only consists of two episodes so far with his first stop at Nashville’s Hattie B’s for hot chicken, and then for funnel cakes at the Lucas County Fair in Maumee, OH. Watch below as Corbin attempts to try Hattie B’s hottest hot chicken.

4. Third Time’s The Charm: Some may think that putting the same song on two records is odd, but when you feel passionate about something you don’t let up, and that’s just what Corbin did regarding his most recent single, “Are You With Me.” The song first appeared on Corbin’s second studio album All Over The Road, but instead of being released to country radio, the EDM DJ Lost Frequencies sampled the first four lines and created a massive hit in 2014. In 2015, Corbin included the song again on his third studio album About To Get Real and finally released the song as a single this past May – we are so happy he did!  Listen to this gem, written by Tommy Lee James, Terry McBride and Shawn McAnally.

5. He Supports Our Military
Families:  Corbin knows how important our men and women in uniform are and has done a lot in support of them.  As part of Ram Trucks’ “Road to the Ram” Jam all-star country music series, Corbin received a one year lease on a Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn truck, which was later auctioned off in 2013. The auction brought in $37,101.00 to benefit the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which honors our service men and women who have either lost their life, became 100% disabled and/or was classified as MIA or a POW while defending our country by providing college scholarships to their children. This past year, Corbin partnered with Eckrich and Operation Homefront in an effort to thank our military families by gifting them $5,000 worth of free groceries.
