We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Country Artist Joe Noto who released his new single, “Better Off On A Beach” at the end of June. The single, written by Josh Phillips, Lalo Guzman, and Michael Tyler, and co-produced by Brad Hill, is the perfect laid back summer anthem. With the song’s fun, beachy vibe, listeners will want to roll down their windows and soak up the sunshine.  Noto, who hails from Royal Palm Beach, Florida, says the songwriters effortlessly painted a familiar picture for him and that this song feels like home.

We enjoyed getting to know Joe a little better and we hope you do too. Check it out…

CN: Joe, your new single “Better Off On A Beach” describes a laid back, easy-going lifestyle.  What was the transition like for you moving from Royal Palm Beach, FL to Nashville, TN? Any adjustments to speak of?

JN:  It was quite the transition and it still is every day. I love my family and my friends so much that it was tough to leave home and start over somewhere.  Nashville has been good to me though.  I have met some fantastic people and made good friends that I hold near and dear to my heart.

CN: Who were some of your influences growing up – whether its songwriting or an artist/performer?

JN:  I loved and idolized entertainers growing up like Michael Jackson and Jon Bon Jovi – they are my two biggest inspirations.  I wanted to be just like them.  I now want to bring that kind of energy to country music.  That’s why I love studying and learning from guys like Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, and Keith Urban.

CN: What are a few of your favorite “haunts” in Nashville to hear live music that are off the beaten path, maybe something that only locals know about?

JN:  In all honesty I don’t go out much but I love Rudy’s Jazz Room. I grew up on everything and that’s where I can go to hear a little bit of everything.

CN: What 3 songs are you listening to right now, no matter the genre?

JN:  Right now I’m listening to “Search & Rescue” by Drake; “Get the Girl” by Seaforth, and “Hideaway” by Brett Eldredge.

CN: What’s your guilty pleasure (fast food, video games, Netflix, etc)?

JN:   I’ve got a few guilty pleasures… Root beer, sunflower seeds, and summer nights in western New York.

CN: What’s something your fans don’t know about you? Any hidden talents?

JN:  I would say that most people don’t know that I’m Italian.  People guess a lot of different ethnicities, but I’m Italian.  Also for a hidden talent… I do a really good impression of Disney’s Monorail tram safety recording in Spanish.

CN: What are you most looking forward to during the remainder of 2023? New music, tour, etc.?

JN:  I’m looking most forward to getting out and performing LIVE for the remainder of 2023. I want to play as many shows as possible – that’s what my true love is.  There’s just something about getting out there, meeting and connecting with people that drives me.  I’m also going to be releasing new music this fall that I’m excited about.
