WME AND AFLAC PRESENT ACM LIFTING LIVES®WITH CHECK FOR $100,000

Nashville, TN – WME’s second annual BASH at the BEACH was declared an overwhelming success as the two-night concert at the Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 delighted fans with high-energy performances by more than a dozen of country music’s hottest stars.

Arena-headlining country superstar and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Nominee, Chris Young, closed out the two-night event with a special performance on Saturday night. His set included a show-stopping on-stage moment as WME and Aflac presented ACM Lifting Lives®, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music®, with a check from proceeds of the shows for $100,000. The funds raised will be directed toward Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, and the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund.

During Friday night’s show, Young was on hand to present the first-ever Aflac ACM Lifting Lives Honor, recognizing remarkable and selfless dedication to bringing the healing power of music to those who are in need. The inaugural recognition was presented to Judith Pinkerton, honoring her excellence and long term efforts towards the development and growth of the music therapy profession. Aflac believes that music has the power to heal and change lives and has given more than $122 million to support children and families facing childhood cancer, including music therapy programs.

This event, held in connection with the 6th Annual ACM Party for a Cause events, during “The Week Vegas Goes Country,” included platinum selling artist and widely praised performer Chris Janson as Friday night’s headliner. Cam, Dee Jay Silver, Granger Smith, Jordan Davis, LANCO, Lindsay Ell, Morgan Evans, Morgan Wallen, Parmalee, RaeLynn and Scotty McCreery also performed.
