Whey Jennings has officially released his new EP “If It Wasn’t For The Sinnin’” across digital platforms today under his new label deal with Dirt Rock Empire, the label founded by country music duo The Lacs.

“If It Wasn’t For The Sinnin’” is fueled by raw emotion and experiences that is sure to be felt deeply, as Whey Jennings is a master storyteller, crafting tales of heartbreak, sorrow, and redemption. When your grandfather is Waylon Jennings, one of the founding fathers of Outlaw Country, you have some pretty big shoes to fill, but those shoes fit Whey Jennings perfectly. Whether on stage with his band or writing new songs, music flows through Whey’s veins as undeniable as the line of country legends that have grown out of his family tree.

Whey Jennings has been drawing critical acclaim since signing with Dirt Rock Empire for his gritty take on traditional country.

Country Rebel praised his last single “The Gun” saying: “Once you press play on the video below, there will be no doubt that this man’s last name is Jennings, but he sets himself apart from his famous grandfather with a kind of grit we haven’t heard in years, perhaps even decades.”

Whey Jennings recently went viral on YouTube with his performance of “Highwayman” with Thomas Gabriel, the grandson of Johnny Cash. The tribute to their respective grandfathers’ legacies has now amassed 2.4 million views within just a few months of release. Whey also honored the birthday of his grandfather Waylon Jennings with an all-star list of country music heavy hitters that included the likes of Travis Tritt, Creed Fisher, and members of the Jennings family covering Waylon’s greatest hits and performing some originals.
