waymores-outlaws-logoNashville, Tennessee — Waylon Jennings and the Waylors’ members Richie Albright, Jerry “Jigger” Bridges and Fred Newell formed Waymore’s Outlaws not long after the outlaw legend’s passing in 2002. After adding lead singer and guitarist Tommy Townsend, releasing three albums and a three-year stint opening for Shooter Jennings, the band is planning to kick off their farewell tour in February of 2017.

“When we started this, we really just wanted to get together to play and keep Waylon’s spirit and music alive,” said Jerry “Jigger” Bridges, Waylon’s longtime bass player, tour manager and producer. “We had no idea we would end up touring the US, Canada and Europe. The last three years with Shooter have been a blast, and we’re looking forward to playing full shows as Waymore’s Outlaws again.”

Bridges, Albright and Newell played on mega hit recordings such as “I Ain’t Living Long Like This,” “Theme Song from the Dukes of Hazzard (Good Ol’ Boys),” “Luckenbach Tx (Back To The Basics Of Love),” “Rainy Day Woman” and countless others. In late 2013 Waymore’s Outlaws began a three-year touring engagement with Shooter Jennings, the only son of Waylon and Jessi Colter. The quartet opened his shows and backed him on stage. Beginning in February 2017, they will be venturing back out on the road to once again perform full sets on their own bringing a mix of Waylon’s songs and their own original music to audiences across the globe.

Waymore’s Outlaws perform a combination of Waylon’s signature hit songs and their own original songs in a highly entertaining 60, 75 or 90-minute set.
