Waterloo Revival Release Music Video For Acoustic Performance Of Their Single, “Something You Ain’t Ever Had”

Video Glimpses Duo’s Family Time
While Off The Road During Pandemic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Show Dog Nashville duo Waterloo Revival have recorded an ultra-chill acoustic take on their hot new single “Something You Ain’t Ever Had.” The stripped-down approach is now available through all digital music services, while a video for the re-crafted track releases today, Thursday, October 1st. Go to Waterloo Revival’s YouTube channel to see the video featuring a backyard BBQ and musical family time.

“We wanted to give the listeners a version where they felt like they were in the living room with us while we pass the guitar around on a Friday night,” says the duo’s George Birge, who along with childhood friend and creative partner Cody Cooper have already seen more than 10 million spins on the song.

The new video captures a snapshot of the family time the duo has been able to enjoy while being forced off tour because of the pandemic.

Birge has been spending time with his wife, Kara, and their two sons – 3 year old George James and 16 month old Luke. He notes, “COVID-19 was something we never saw coming and honestly really hard for us to come to terms with, but after reflecting on it, this time with family has been so unbelievably special. I was home to see Luke take his first steps, we’ve been taking family walks every night while little G is learning how to ride his scooter. Every morning we have a dance party while cooking eggs and getting the boys dressed for school. The boys have gotten old enough to start coming to the golf course with me, and while they are mostly motivated by ‘peanuts and raisins’ (trail mix) and golf cart rides, both of them will take a few swings. Little G is now proud to say he is friends with John Daly and gets super excited to see him on TV. I am playing as much golf as I ever have, and have also been writing as much music as possible. I miss playing live shows something fierce but this down time really has been a blessing in disguise.”

“While this year and social distancing have had its tough parts, I’ve really loved the opportunity to take a break from traveling to spend time with my wife Emily at home, and make more intentional efforts to really keep up with the people that mean the most to me,” said Cooper.  “Family is where I get my sense of who I am, and what I value. We do everything we can to FaceTime with our families weekly to stay in touch. And Emily and I do everything we can to make the most of our days – morning walks and daily exercise, exploring Percy Warner and the awesome parks around Nashville, ‘Tuesday Movie Nights’ with socially-distanced neighbors, and backyard bonfires on the weekends.”

Promising substantive love over fleeting affections, “Something You Ain’t Ever Had” was originally produced by Lalo Guzman and executive produced by Arturo Buenahora, Jr.

Birge and Cooper both also have songwriter cuts with other artists. Birge is credited with Josh Mirenda, Jaron Boyer and Clay Walker on Walker’s acclaimed Show Dog Nashville debut single “Need A Bar Sometimes,” which was released last month. And both join Danny Orton and Sam Grow with credits on Grow’s new song “Me & Mine,” out now on label Average Joes Entertainment.

Until touring resumes, Waterloo Revival are focused on writing and recording, while engaging their active fan base online. Named for their hometown of Austin, they’ve amassed more than 100 million streams, earned substantial radio airplay and entertained fans in clubs and on arena stages nationwide.
