NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – Indie recording artist and global touring musician, Travis Marvin, announced the release of his new single; Marvin debuted Never Had A First Time” * on country radio Tuesday (8/15).

Written alongside hit maker Rick Huckaby (“Beer with Jesus”-Thomas Rhett/”Muddy Water”-Trace Adkins) and A-list musician Eddie Kilgallon (founding member of the group Ricohet who has toured with Montgomery Gentry for the past 14 years), the track is co-produced by Marvin and Kilgallon. The mid-tempo, contemporary country tune highlights extraordinary musicianship from start to finish; Marvin’s spot-on vocal delivery livens the sweet sentiment of enchanted anguish met with awakened passion.

“The song is about a first kiss—a passion and desire postponed by hesitation stimulated by the unknown—and the realization of how amazing it truly is,” said Marvin.  “The storyline was sparked by a first kiss that mattered with someone who mattered, and the rest, as they say, is history.  It was a good, last first kiss!”

Never had a first kiss that left me seeing stars
…tasted like sunshine at midnight under a sweet honeysuckle moon
Never had a first time, like the last time, with you

The new single (his second radio release) comes from Marvin’s 2017 indie project titled SIMPLE.  He introduced the CD with the release the title track in November 2016; “Simple” (a Travis Marvin self-penned original) landed at No. 37 on the Country Billboard Charts and No. 2 on the corresponding Heatseekers Chart (January 2017), and was the most-requested song on “The Iceman’s New Country Countdown—Top 40” on Best Country Radio.

The Washburn University grad, who earned his degree in Business Marketing and Management, has become an accomplished, sought-after touring and studio musician (proficient on guitar, piano, trumpet and drums). Travis has shared the stage with award-winning recording artists and entertainers such as Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Big & Rich, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd among countless others. Travis Marvin has played at some of the country’s largest festivals (Country Stampede) and in grand stadiums (Children’s Mercy Soccer Stadium, Kansas City). In recent years, his solo-performing career has taken him to major cities (including NYC, San Diego, Dallas, Miami, Seattle, Kansas City, San Antonio, Detroit and Chicago). As the opening act for Aaron Lewis, Marvin has played more than 375 shows (since August 2015).  He also made his very first solo appearance at “The Mother Church of Country Music;” Marvin performed at The Ryman (opening for Lewis) on Friday evening, August 18, 2017.

“Whoa…‘The Mother Church of Country Music…’ Just saying the words make me wanna tear up,” Travis Marvin added.  “It’s an honor and I’m humbled to even be considered to stand on the stage where country music icons have stood. To say it’s on my bucket list is an understatement; it’s going to be the highlight of my career and just like a ‘first kiss,’ it’ll bring pure joy to my heart and soul as the most memorable lifetime experience.”

Travis will make available an iDitty Interactive Souvenir as a special “thank you” to the fans, and his peers, who have lent support in his musical journey.
