Tom O’Connor Throws Hail Mary to the Girl That Got Away in New Release, “Mr. Perfect”

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Independent recording artist Tom O’Connor, known for collaborating with Luke Combs on the song “Deserve,” is slated to release his latest single, “Mr. Perfect,” on August 14th. The tune is an honest, last ditch effort to get a girl to not give up on the singer as she’s about to marry somebody else. Pre-save here.

“The song is a classic combination of you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone and too little, too late” acknowledges O’Connor. “I really pulled a lot of inspiration from one particular past relationship and focused on the things that I wish I had said at the time.”

“Mr. Perfect” was co-written with Chris Canterbury and the track was recorded at Melody Mountain Ranch in Stephenville, TX and South Light Sound in Nashville, TN. In the track O’Connor pleads,

Hang on to my number / You might need it up the road / We can’t say exactly what tomorrow holds / Nobody knows, but / You can always call / If it turns out Mr. Perfect / Ain’t so perfect after all

The new single is O’Connor’s third released this year, and the fourth overall from his forthcoming full-length record.
