Tom O’Connor Releases Powerful Southern Rock Anthem, “Tough”

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Independent recording artist Tom O’Connor, known for collaborating with Luke Combs on the song “Deserve,” releases his latest single, “Tough,” today (10/30). Listen HERE. The tune merges country, rock n’ roll and some blues influence to push the needle when it comes to talking about cancel culture and society today. The lyrics which relate to the rebellious spirit and values of the southern working class will be sure to have your feet stomping.

“The song is a nod to a throwback way of life,” acknowledges O’Connor. “We really wanted to write it about the disappearing ideologies and more traditional values that many of us grew up on.”

“Tough” was co-written with JP Williams and Josh Byrd and the track was recorded at Melody Mountain Ranch in Stephenville, TX and South Light Sound in Nashville, TN. In the track O’Connor expresses,

What ever happened to bucked off and getting back on that horse
What ever happened to standing your ground on something worth fighting for
Where did we go wrong
Man, I had enough
What ever happened to tough

The new single is O’Connor’s fourth released this year, and the fifth overall from his forthcoming full-length record.
