Tin Pan South 2016 To Donate Proceeds From One Show To Bonaparte’s Retreat

Special Show to Feature “Nashville” Actors

Bonaparte RetreatNashville, Tennessee – The Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival Presented by Regions Bank donates proceeds from the door of one show each year to a designated charity, and organizers are pleased to name Bonaparte’s Retreat as the beneficiary of this year’s event. Founded in 2004 by Grammy-winning singer songwriter Emmylou Harris, the special show is scheduled to feature several songwriters with ties to the ABC hit series “Nashville.” Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Colin Linden, Brandon Young and special guests are set to perform, and Emmylou will host the show at 6:30pm on Saturday, April 9 at 3rd & Lindsley.

Bonaparte’s Retreat is named for one of Emmylou’s own beloved dogs. “Bonaparte had this really friendly demeanor,” she says. He “loved people, [was] very sociable, loved other animals.” And “once you have the experience of having a dog on the road with you, you don’t realize how lonely you’ve been without one. So he went everywhere with me. He was my constant companion for 10 years.”

To learn more about the mission of Bonaparte’s Retreat, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, or to make a donation, visit bonapartesretreat.org. Admission to the show is by Tin Pan South Fast Access Pass or $20.00 at the door.

The 24th Annual Tin Pan South Songwriter’s Festival runs April 5-9, 2016. Individual tickets will be available at the door of most shows, and prices range from $10-25. The full roster of performers is now available at www.TinPanSouth.com, and patrons are encouraged to visit the site for the most up-to-date schedule.

Produced by Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Tin Pan South reigns as the world’s largest all-songwriter festival. Last year close to 350 talented songwriters performed 92 shows at 10 of Nashville’s top music venues. Thousands of music fans attend the event annually to hear songwriters tell stories behind hit songs they have written and perform the songs as they were originally composed. Regions Bank returns for the ninth year as the presenting sponsor of the event.
