On Thursday (5.24), The FADER debuted country newcomer Dillon Carmichael’s video for the “roomy baritone steeped” single “It’s Simple,” a track that sonically “fits nicely with songs by the Brent Cobbs and Ashley McBrydes and Chris Stapletons of the world: http://hyperurl.co/DC_FADER

Produced by GRAMMY award-winning Dave Cobb, Carmichael’s debut Hell On An Angel (out Aug. 17) is a mix of “worn-in Southern warmth” (The FADER), his Montgomery family pedigree, and a unique breed of Jennings- and Haggard- inspired songwriting.

The New York Times says Carmichael’s “voice moves with the heft and certainty of a tractor trailer,” and Rolling Stone Country compares the 24-year-old Kentucky native to Hank Jr., Randy Travis and Sturgill Simpson.

In addition to opening for the likes of Montgomery Gentry, Ben Haggard, and Randy Houser, Carmichael will perform at Summerfest and LiveNation’s LakeShake this summer.
