The Bobby Bones Show’s St. Jude Radiothon Raises Over $1.3 Million In One Day

Nashville, TN – iHeartMedia’s nationally syndicated The Bobby Bones Show, raised over $1.3 million Friday (12/1) morning as part of their St. Jude Radiothon.  As donations still continue to come in, the staggering event spearheaded by Bobby Bones, aired live and allowed listeners to donate via text for the first time, prompting an unprecedented amount of money raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Country superstars and friends showcased the community spirit of the genre, with many offering their time to be a part of the broadcast.  Highlights from the morning included a standout version of Blake Shelton’s “God Gave Me You” by Kelsea Ballerini and Dave Barnes, a spine-tingling rendition of Keith Whitley’s “I’m No Stranger To The Rain” by Chris Janson, as well as a special call from Garth Brooks.

“I’m honestly blown away by the generosity of our listeners this morning,” said Bobby Bones. “The amount raised is overwhelming and donations are still coming in. With the holidays coming up, money can be tight and so it means even more that our fans have chosen to contribute to such an amazing cause. I also have to thank all of our artist friends that took part in such an important broadcast, as well as our awesome group of radio station affiliates, who always go above and beyond to support us in our charitable endeavors.”
