Tara Thompson Goes Live with June 10 EP Details

SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE EP to Debut During Her First CMA Music Fest Performances

NASHVILLE, TN – Still reliving her Grand Ole Opry debut last month, TARA THOMPSON continues dream-worthy moments with the announcement of her June 10 EP release on The Valory Music Co. The sassy singer/songwriter with biting lyrics and a sweet Southern twang surprised fans this afternoon on Facebook Live with a Q&A that revealed details about her Someone to Take Your Place EP.

The East Tennessee native co-wrote each of the five songs – drawing inspiration from her life experiences with family, friends and love – recording the project with producer and collaborator Alex Kline. Earlier this year Tara opened for Jennifer Nettles on the CMT NEXT WOMEN OF COUNTRY TOUR, offering up live versions and a few stories behind each track.

Tara will kick off her first CMA Music Festival at the Country Music Hall of Fame during the CMT Next Women of Country Panel and Performance on Friday, June 10. Backed by her self-described hillbilly band, the fiery talent will also introduce audiences to her kind of Country at The Park Stage on Saturday, June 11 at 2:30pm.
