Meet country singer, Stephan Hogan who is thrilled to announce his debut album So Long California, To be released on November 20th. As a preview, he is releasing the title track “So Long California” along with the music video that is featured on American Songwriter.
Stephan says, “I left California about a year and a half ago to move to TN. My wife and I sold everything, loaded up into her VW Jetta, and drove across the country so I could chase my dream. This song talks about leaving home and the journey which was the inspiration to this whole album. I feel like this song will resonate with the many people leaving California and the many people confronted with life change.”
There are musicians who can sing, some who can play, others who mainly write, and then there are the few that do it all. Stephan is not only an incredible singer/songwriter but a master of the guitar. He has put in the blood, sweat, and tears required of an underdog who aspires to be one of the greats. Every track you hear is recorded and produced by Stephan in his tiny closet in Nashville. No big budgets or fancy equipment. Just raw determination and the discipline required of an independent artist who’s going the distance.
