Sons of the Palomino Release Brand New Single “Countryholic,” Featuring John Rich

“Countryholic” Music Video Premieres on Rolling Stone Country

Sons of the Palomino, lead by Nashville Songwriter Hall Of Fame member Jeffrey Steele, released their brand new single “Countryholic,” featuring John Rich, today. The accompanying video that was shot at Green’s Grocery in Liepers’ Fork premiered on Rolling Stone Country Friday (5/5) and fans can check it out here.  Sons of the Palomino is a nod to the Palomino Club in North Hollywood circa the late 1980s-early 1990s and the old school country music that was played there. In that same regard “Countryholic,” written by Steele, Ira Dean and Shane Minor, is a fun up-tempo song with John Rich adding his trademark swagger. Fans can chat with the Sons of the Palomino about the new single, video and upcoming album on their Facebook page today at 7pm CST www.facebook.com/sonsofthepalomino.

“Countryholic is a 100 proof honky tonk song that will make you want to holler yehaw!” said Steele. “That song is icing on the cake of a project 3 years in the making with an all-star cast of musicians and guests who are all helping to capture an era in music that seems to have vanished. I’m so humbled by everyone who signed on to help and cannot wait to get this record out there.”

“Countryholic” is the lead track off of Sons of the Palomino’s debut album set for release June 30th on 3 Ring Circus. The Palomino Club closed down long ago but even after making his mark in Nashville, Steele never forget how those shows affected him as a writer, player and singer. Steele wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on the album that are all dedicated to honoring the classic country music that the Palomino Club championed. The album includes duets with some of country music’s greatest voices including Emmylou Harris, John Anderson, Gretchen Wilson, Vince Gill and Jamey Johnson.

Sons of the Palomino is made up of group members that include steel guitar legend Paul Franklin, fiddle player Larry Franklin, Jerry Roe on drums, pianist Tony Harrell, guitar player James Mitchell, bassist Brad Albin and of course Steele.
