SOLID’S Music Row Yard Sale Rebranded Nashville Music Market

SOLID’S MUSIC ROW YARD SALE REBRANDED NASHVILLE MUSIC MARKET

ANNUAL SALE & AUCTION OF COUNTRY-MUSIC COLLECTIBLES SLATED FOR JUNE 11 DURING CMA WEEK

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — SOLID (Society of Leaders in Development) announced this week that the Music Row Yard Sale & Auction has officially changed its name to the Nashville Music Market. The annual event hosts a sale and auction of music items, memorabilia, meet & greets, autographed guitars and more during the week of CMA Music Festival. This year’s 14th annual event will take place Saturday, June 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (location TBD).

As the event gains more traction within the community and an influx of donations, SOLID initiated an extensive rebranding effort of the Yard Sale as the Nashville Music Market to better reflect the evolution of the event’s current and future identity. The rebranding will match the event’s improved quality of donations since its start in 2002, and its wider reach with the addition of the online auction.

“In a time where people are less likely to donate physical albums to the event, SOLID has recognized the opportunity to provide a larger assortment of items and experiences for the music fan,” states SOLID board member and Music Market chairman Kari Barnhart. “The Music Market is now an event where fans can not only ‘rummage’ through promotional items, but also collect one-of-a-kind memorabilia and bid on high-end auction items like autographed guitars and meet & greet experiences.”

Last year’s donations included much-wanted items such as meet & greet passes for country music super stars: Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and more. The event also included meet & greet pass / autographed-guitar packages from beloved artists: Brett Eldredge, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, George Strait, LeeAnn Womack and more.

SOLID’s two-year-old online auction will also launch the week of the Nashville Music Market allowing fans who cannot be onsite to bid on high-demand items from some of country music’s biggest artists. The newly- implemented arm of the Nashville Music Market is an important way to increase the event’s accessibility and participation.

“The Music Market is consistently one of the most important events of our year,” said SOLID president Basak Kizilisik. “In addition to being pivotal in helping us achieve our goals for the year, it allows us to make sizable contributions to incredible organizations like the MDA and Porter’s Call. We believe the rebranding and new name is a great way to demonstrate how far-reaching this event has become and are very much looking forward to this year’s event. I encourage any and everyone to donate what they can with hopes of making it the best one we’ve ever had.”

Proceeds from the event will help SOLID fund education, networking, leadership and volunteer opportunities. A portion will also benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Porter’s Call.

In the spirit of CMA Fest week, SOLID will also be selling specialty handbags made from event flags of previous CMA events. A percentage of those sales will go to Notes for Notes, which provides after school music education through the Boys & Girls Club.
