Hammack is just the beginning of this exciting season, which is set to roll out over the next few months with episodes featuring top guest talent, including Valory Music Co.’s TYLER RICH, Warner Music Nashville’s CALE DODDS, acclaimed songwriter and producer, COREY CROWDER, as well as ELAINA SMITH – host of Nash Nights Live and Breaking Thru with Elaina, a podcast that addresses the lack of females on country radio.

Recorded at Casa De Montecristo cigar shop in Nashville, Tennessee, SMOKING SECTION aims to raise awareness about various aspects of the music industry through open and casual chats with some of Nashville’s key players – all over a glass of whiskey and a good cigar.

“We really wanted something fresh and new for the industry,” explains co-host Duane Hobson. “Our hope is that Smoking Section continues to show the various sides of our world, whether they be good or bad, with the help of our awesome guests who are willing to share stories of motivation, overcoming, and success.”

“I feel like society has forgotten that successful people are just that – people,” continues co- host Markus Koger. “Our main goal for this podcast is for our listeners to not only have an understanding of how the music industry works, as a whole, but to also see that no matter how successful a person is, they are still human. That’s why we have these conversations in such a relaxing setting – it’s just a chat with friends.”

The sophomore season continues in the footsteps of SMOKING SECTION’s inaugural run, which featured 11 episodes and a solid lineup of industry professionals, including Stoney Creek’s breakout star, JIMMIE ALLEN – an episode that lead to a very insightful chat about inclusivity in country music.
