Billy Lee (BMI) & Rich Murray (ASCAP)

Billy Lee & Rich Murray set to perform at The Heather Hills Veterans Bash

This is the Second Annual year for this event taking place in Cadiz, Kentucky at Barkley Lake. Billy Lee is an army veteran that served during the Desert Shield and Desert Storm operations. He has written several songs about veterans including “Heroes Never Die”, “Back Home Again” and “I Was There”. Long time friend and bandmate Rich Murray has co-written three veteran tribute songs, (“Proud Young Soldier”, “All Aboard” and “A Scar On A Soldiers Heart”).

The event was developed to help raise money and public awareness of the crisis that veterans deal with during and after serving their country. Ideally, the duo would like to finish writing and recording an album for the cause in the near future. The concept of music as a vessel for healing and public awareness has been well accepted by the music and veteran communities. “We are just beginning our quest to help in these efforts” states the duo. “Every good thing takes time and we believe this is a cause worth pursuing with a passion.”
