NASHVILLE, TN — August will be a big month for traditional country music songwriter and indy artist Scott Southworth. The growing success of his recent release, “Hey Hillbilly Singer!” leads his music to worldwide radio and a live stage overseas this month.

Notable country music industry veteran Robert K. Oermann calls the title track a “bawling, honky tonk, beer drinking blazer, ” going on to say, “It doesn’t get more in your face country than this.”

Traditionalists can listen to selections from the album each Saturday during August on the legendary radio show, The Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree, which broadcast at 12 midnightcentral time on 650 AM WSM and worldwide on www.wsmonline.com. “Hey Hillbilly Singer!” will not only be spotlighted on radio, but the album will have a special store front display at the historic Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broadway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Then, by popular demand, Scott Southworth returns overseas after a successful European summer tour to visit Norway. Southworth will be one of the featured performers at this year’s Trandal Country Fest on August 10th and August 11th, headlining Saturday’s big show. Southworth will proudly represent American honky tonk at the exciting festival in the midst of fjord and mountains .
