NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Russell Dickerson has “possibly written one of the sweetest love songs in country music” in “Yours” (Taste of Country), a single impacting Country radio this week (Monday, 4/24) that is resonating with tens of millions of fans having already garnered more than 30 million Spotify streams and 3 million-and-counting views for the music video to date.

On the heels of Dickerson wrapping the first leg of Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour with a two-night, blowout that was “a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n roll and a whole lot of fun” (The Tennessean) in Dickerson’s hometown of Nashville, Tenn., streaming and SiriusXM hit, “Yours,” impacts terrestrial radio today, April 24.

The lyrics of “Yours” address the transformative power of love – not just about completing someone with the discovery of your soul mate, but of changing that person for the better: The worst me is just a long-gone memory/You put a new heartbeat inside of me/You make me better than I was before/Thank God I’m yours.

Penned with longtime friends and frequent collaborators Casey Brown and Parker Welling, “Yours” has been dubbed the wedding song of the year by SiriusXM. The “hypnotic” (CMT) singer has even surprised several couples performing the emotional tribute as a surprise at their  wedding.

“It’s a rare and incredible thing to have a song go from being yours to someone else’s,” Russell reflects. “There have been so many incredible moments already – from hearing how this song is the soundtrack to a relationship, to being played during the moment they got engaged or as their first dance, to wedding anniversaries – and I’m so proud of that as a writer; the biggest compliment you can receive is that you helped provide the words to describe how somethingfeels.”

Dickerson is the flagship act on Triple Tigers Records, a joint venture with Sony Music.

Dickerson’s EP, available now, features “Yours” and “Blue Tacoma.”
