You may know Russell Dickerson as a country singer, a devoted husband and a loving first-time father. But he and his heart are much larger than that. The Tennessee native has gone above and beyond in helping those in need – such as donating a car to a teenage fan who was hit by a drunk driver – and spreading love to those at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
An ambassador for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, which helps continue St. Jude’s pledge that no family shall ever receive a bill from the hospital for “treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live,” Dickerson’s admiration for St. Jude has only grown as he himself is now a father to son Remington, born six month ago, putting a different perspective on what the parents of the young patients go through.
Dickerson recently sat down with St. Jude mom Anna and her son Ian to talk about their “home away from home” at St. Jude, his heartfelt connection to the cause, and to also help promote the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.
