NASHVILLE, TN – On the eve of his Platinum self-titled debut album returning to #1 for an 11th week on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, Kane Brown capped off an exhilarating multi-layered ACM Awards experience in Las Vegas with a critically-acclaimed performance of his Double-Platinum #1 smash “What Ifs” featuring with Lauren Alaina on the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards.

This ACM Awards performance, which received “Best ACM Awards Moments” raves from Billboard, Washington Post,New York Post and Hollywood Reporter among others, marked the first time Brown and Alaina, middle school choir classmates in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, performed the ACM Awards Vocal Collaboration of the Year nominated “What Ifs” on a TV broadcast.
In additional awards show news, the 2018 Billboard Music Awards announcements were announced yesterday. Tying for most-nominated in the country categories, RCA Nashville/Zone 4’s Kane Brown achieves three Billboard Music Award nods. Brown is up for Top Country Artist, Top Country Album for his self-titled debut release and Top Country Song for “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina.
Not only does 2018’s most-streamed album release Kane Brown return to #1 on Billboard’s album consumption chart, but Brown’s Platinum current hit single “Heaven” ascends into the Top 5 of country airplay charts and maintains a seven-week stronghold at #1 on Nielsen’s On Demand Audio Core Country Streaming chart. “Heaven,” produced by award-winning producer Dann Huff and co-written by Matthew McGinn, Lindsay Rimes and Shy Carter, is Brown’s third track to achieve Platinum or Multi-Platinum certification and achieved certification at the quickest pace since Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” in June 2017.
For the next four weeks as announced earlier by the Academy of Country Music, a Kane Brown “Heaven” encore ACM Awards performance can be viewed by Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers exclusively on Xfinity On Demand. Comcast’s Xfinity brand has announced an official partnership with the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards to offer its customers an even more immersive viewing experience prior to and following the show, and, in addition to this encore performance of “Heaven” by Kane Brown being viewable now, Xfinity TV customers with X1 will enjoy related online content from YouTube and streaming stations from Pandora integrated alongside the rest of the content, as well as the ability to call up the full experience by saying “Show me the ACMs” into the voice remote.
Kane Brown’s debut album recently became the sole country album to earn RIAA Platinum certification since its release in December 2016.
