NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising country star and CMT Next Women of Country 2021 class inductee Harper Grae puts her stunning vocals on display in her single “I Think About You,” now available on all digital and streaming platforms. Written by Grae with Matt Willis and Ian Christian, and produced by Forrest Finn, the songstress reflects on love lost and the thoughts that cross one’s mind after heartbreak. American Songwriter premiered the track yesterday (10/7) highlighting it as a “pivotal moment in her career trajectory.”

“Every part of this single was incredibly intentional. I knew exactly what vision I wanted to set in place from the emotions I wanted people to feel,” said Grae. “I knew how the single artwork had to look, and how I saw the video being portrayed. I loved getting to have so much creative freedom to really highlight these experiences because they are a huge part of who I am today – and I’m grateful for them.”
On the heels of a sold-out show last night at Nashville’s City Winery, Grae continues to bring her powerful voice and honest, endearing presence to audiences nationwide as she opens for Billboard chart-topping singer-songwriter Josh Kelley on a 14-city run.
Grae proceeds to use her music to share her story by releasing “riveting, heartbreaking stuff that doubles as trauma therapy,” (Rolling Stone Country) but also describes the uphill battle she’s faced as an LGBTQ woman. Earlier this year, she reflected on her own emotional journey by releasing “Still Your Mother” in hopes of being “real and honest about what it’s been like to work through her trauma” (American Songwriter). The songstress also used the tune to share the news that she was pregnant with her “rainbow baby” with her wife (a term for a child born to a family that has previously lost one due to a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infancy death). Her daughter, Declan Monroe Gates, was born in late July and People Magazine helped share the news with fans.
