Rex Allen Jr. Country Gold Show Goes Live For Fans Worldwide

Last Iowa Performance To Be Live Broadcast and Video Taped For Upcoming Documentary
NASHVILLE, TN —  As his farewell tour, Sunrise to Sunset, winds down, Rex Allen Jr. will mark his last performance in the great state of Iowa with a special radio broadcast on Oasis-HD Radio. Fans can tune into the musical milestone at 9pm central time on August 31st at www.oasis-hd.com. DJ Ron Tyler will broadcast the Mt. Pleasant, Iowa show in it’s entirety around the world.

This Thursday’s show is part of the Country Gold series featuring LeRoy Van Dyke, Moe Bandy, David Frizzell and Rex Allen Jr. at the Old Midwest Theater. Capturing this special occasion will be a production crew of 12 cameras, overhead booms and the works all for an upcoming documentary on Rex Allen Jr. and western music, set for release at the end of the year. Footage will also appear in an upcoming special DVD on this once-in-a-lifetime concert.

Rex Allen Jr.’s farewell tour, Sunrise to Sunset, concludes at Rex Allen Days in Wilcox,Arizona in October. Allen will continue to record. Allen’s last all western album, Garage Songs X: This Is The Last Cowboy Song has already produced the chart-hit, Call of the Canyon and a new single, Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold).

Allen is currently nominated for Entertainer and Songwriter of the Year with the Reunion of Professional Entertainers (R.O.P.E.).

Rex Allen Jr. is also scheduled to appear on Red Steagall’s television show, Somewhere West of Wall Street on RFD-TV this fall, as well as Ray Steven’s Caba-Ray show on Public Television stations.
