Paulina Jayne Releases A Quarantine Edition Video For Joyful, New Song Titled ‘Credit’

NASHVILLE, TENN. — Filmed in her closet which doubled as a vocal sound booth, Urban Country artist Paulina Jayne cut her new song, ‘Credit,’ which was fully produced during the national COVID-19 quarantine. Co-written with Analisa Rotella, ‘Credit’ features the individual performances of Paulina’s Detroit band members and three renowned Nashville studio musicians, all of whom self-recorded their parts in their home studios.  Grammy Award winning producer, Mills Logan, then mixed and mastered the musical components in Nashville, and talented videographer, Natalie Sakstrup, integrated the vignettes to produce the video.  The footage perfectly captures the personal pleasure of making music that stays in your head for hours with a humble message acknowledging that life’s positives are Heaven-sent.

Social distancing hasn’t slowed down Paulina Jayne and crew’s creative output during the pandemic.  Paulina says she has been “a writing fool” via Facetime, and her band, eager to return to performing live, signed-on to participate in her project.  Grounded by Detroit-based drummer Funky Monkey Miguel Gutierrez, John Gallo on pulsating electric (formerly of Detroit and now of Nashville), Hammond Artist Jacob Tipton, and Nashville’s Kenny Greenberg ripping on the solo section, all the while, Chris Sykes making the bass sing. Tania Hancheroff added her stellar back-up vocals, and the end result is that you can literally hear the smile in Jayne’s voice throughout the performance.

At a time when the national mood is craving a boost, ‘Credit’ delivers visually and melodically.  The video confirms that the individual artistic spirit remains unconfined despite confinement, while its lyrics remind us who should get the ‘Credit’ for the joyfulness of well-made music.
