He declined offers from major labels, opting for complete control over his music and message. “Hometeam,” produced by his longtime collaborator Beau Bedford of the Texas Gentlemen, showcases Cauthen’s sonic evolution with his unmistakable “Big Velvet” swagger and attitude. This groundbreaking sound seamlessly merges his Country roots and commanding vocals with a deep appreciation for diverse musical styles. “Hometeam” is just the beginning, as Cauthen, aka “Big Velvet,” plans to release multiple tracks in the near future, all through his label, Velvet Rose Records.
