NASHVILLE, Tenn. ⎼  Paul Bogart adds his traditional country touch in his rendition of the classic U2 hit, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” released today. Bogart creates a brand new feeling with this single by adding his homegrown country sound and reworking the way the song is sung. Covering such an iconic song is nothing short of a challenge, but Bogart gives us a smooth and warm version that rivals the original. Listen to the reimagined hit here.

“Bono said ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’ is a ‘gospel song with a restless spirit.’ What a great description! Zach Farnum played me the Bobby Bare version of this song and it clicked for me. I recorded it because it’s a redemptive song that speaks to my own faith and belief in the biblical teaching that this world is not our ‘home’ and our hope is in a future, glorious, heavenly home,” says Bogart.

Having once been compared to a “young George Strait” by Taste of Country, Bogart continues to live up to that honor by infusing his music with the simplicity of the cowboy way. “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” is just one of the new covers that has been reimagined to fit the traditional country sound Bogart is known for. These covers can be heard on his forthcoming album Won’t Have Far To Go, due out November 20, which features a mix of original songs and reimagined cover hits. Pre-save/pre-order the album here.

The single was released on 117 Music and produced by Zach Farnum.
