Grammy award-winning ensemble Old Crow Medicine Show will return to the historic Ryman Auditorium for their eighth annual New Year’s Eve celebration on December 30 and 31. The first night, the band will perform the entirety of 50 Years Of Blonde On Blonde (Columbia)—their live, reimagined version of Bob Dylan’s classic Blonde On Blonde. The second night—New Year’s Eve—Old Crow Medicine Show will play hits old and new from their nearly two-decade-long career. Old Crow Medicine Show’s live energy, tight harmonies and fiery fiddle, banjo and harmonica are unparalleled and have garnered critical acclaim from outlets like Rolling Stone, Garden & Gun and Esquire. On September 15, Columbia released the DVD 50 Years Of Blonde On Blonde The Concert, which captures the band’s high-octane performance, passion and excitement for this iconic album. Billboard praised the band for “treat[ing] Dylan’s music respectfully, but not reverentially” in their live performances. Since the band’s humble beginnings, busking on street corners in 1998, Old Crow Medicine Show have gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry, and have won two Grammy Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). Additionally, their classic single, “Wagon Wheel”, received the RIAA’s Platinum certification in 2013 for selling over 1,000,000 copies.
