“He’s a traditionalist with plenty of stuttering guitar, pedal steel runs and roadhouse rhythm. The uptempo tune is a promising disc debut for this honky-tonk baritone.”

Nashville, Tenn. – Oklahoma traditional country singer/songwriter, Cutter Elliott, has signed with CDX Records and releases his debut radio single, “Heartache Waiting to Happen,” today.

“I’m excited to be a part of the CDX family,” states Elliott. “I am thankful that Joe and Ally believe in my vision of keeping traditional country music alive. I’m looking forward to great things in the future.”

Cutter Elliott is a truly inspirational, real country artist that CDX Records is extremely proud to have as a part of our musical family,” says Joe Kelly, President, CDX Records

“Heartache Waiting to Happen,” is about “the good possibility that the beautiful girl I am approaching could be a heartache waiting to happen. And too good to be true,” stated Elliott in an interview with American Songwriter.

Not only is Elliott’s brand of traditional music turning heads, but his inspirational backstory is shining a light on the real determination that underscores the measure of the man. Born eight weeks prematurely, Elliott was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, and is both partly blind and deaf. Doctors had told his family that he would never walk, talk, or play guitar. Yet, with these seemingly overpowering obstacles, he continues to defy the odds. His inspirational story has captured the attention of numerous major media outlets and he is winning the hearts of fans everywhere.

A generous and kind soul, Elliott also wants to help other disadvantaged youth, and he recently donated a new Yamaha acoustic guitar to the Oklahoma School for the Blind during a performance at the school.

Elliott aims to carry on country music in the vein of his musical heroes Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and George Strait, and based on reaction to his music so far, he is doing just that. “I want people to know my music comes from the heart,” Elliott shared recently with Digital Journal. “I am dedicated to preserving traditional country music and reminding people of the greats that started it all.
