NYC Country Artist Lauren Davidson Releases Lyric Video to “Compass”

NASHVILLE, Tenn.– NYC artist Lauren Davidson has released a lyric video to her most recent single Compass. The song is apart of her highly anticipated EP, Love Ain’t Fair. Since the release, the single is Davidson’s most popular song on Spotify.

Dave Ricco and Cristian Castro, co-producers for this five-part project, aid Davidson in blurring the lines even more between country and urban pop than she has in her previous releases. Compass covers the willingness to work through problems in a difficult relationship even when the “waters seem tough”. With her strong vocals and determined attitude seen in the lyrics, Davidson brings a different perspective to a familiar experience.

Even though Davidson is a breakthrough artist, there seems to be no venue this singer-songwriter cannot conquer. In the past, Davidson has shared the stage with well-renowned artists such as Old Dominion and Rodney Atkins and has won over crowds in various venues such as New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

“This is my favorite question because I am SO excited to continue to roll out my Love Ain’t Fair EP which I started recording towards the end of last year. It is a 5 song EP that I am releasing in 5 parts and includes this song (Compass) and the title track (Love Ain’t Fair) with the 3rd song coming your way very soon,” explains Lauren. “I also have some plans in the works to continue with my mini-festival Urban Country Jam and hopefully get back out on the road sooner than later!”

Like most artists, Davidson is taking advantage of her time in quarantine and taking the time to focus on releasing more content. The video seems perfect for the song, carefully playing on her powerful vocals and vintage country sound, creating an eclectic aesthetic for the video.
