NASHVILLE, TN — Florida native and Country Music artist Jason Brownie has announced his new single on Clearwater Records, “If This Is The Heartache.” The self-penned song was produced by Jeff Bates and recorded and mastered in Nashville at Bateshop Studios. “If This is the Heartache” is available now for download and streaming on all digital platforms at vere.lnk.to/JBITITHPresave.

A heartfelt song about rather not knowing a love that was had, versus having the memories that can haunt someone. Even though the times together were great, sometimes the heartache afterward isn’t worth the struggle. A love like that can eat away at a person and tear their insides out in the blink of an eye.

“I wanted to write something gut-wrenching and something most of us have felt before or will feel at some point in our lifetime. It’s almost got kind of a retro type vibe to it, mixed in with a little country blues,” described Jason Brownie. “Garth Brooks’ famous song, “The Dance,” talks about life’s different successes that ended in heartache, but eluded there were subsequently no regrets. “If This Is The Heartache” is the exact opposite of that; ‘I was doing just fine before you came into my life and turned my world completely upside down’.”

Clearwater Records President & CEO -Robert Gomes shared, “If This Is The Heartache” has surpassed our expectations with the live audiences at Jason’s concerts. It is apparent to me that in today’s world with so many struggles most listeners have had some sort of heartache in their life and that’s why fans connect to this song. I believe this will be one of Jason’s best songs to date.”

“The first time I heard the song, I found myself closely following the crooner’s emotional and soulful story, while being blown away by his excellent vocals and musicianship. The heartfelt lyrics and the ‘old school’ driving beat which just keeps building, will literally keep the listener on the edge of their seat,” expressed Celebrity Direct Entertainment’s – Cord Coslor.

“If this is the heartache I’m gonna feel when a heart breaks
I’d rather not deal
No, I’d rather be alone, I’d rather never’ d known
The love that we shared or the scent of your hair
Or the way your lips taste, the love that we made
And all the keepsakes, driving me crazy
I think I’d just’ve been on my own and I’d be ok
If this is the heartache
Well, I was doing just fine, cruisin’ through life when you walked in
Now I’m lovesick and crazy, missing you baby
I’d rather have missed all of it…”

Produced by Jeff Bates, the single was recorded at Funhouse Studio Nashville, with vocals recorded at Bateshop Studio in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Rodney Ingle engineered the new music at Funhouse Studio and Jeff Bates served as engineer at Bateshop, as well as handled the editing, mixing and mastering.

Studio musicians on the project featured Lonnie Williams (drums), Joel Key (acoustic guitar), Jonathan Brown (piano, keys and organ), James Mitchell (electric guitar), Kevin “Swine” Grant (bass guitar) and Rodney Ingle (background vocals).
